The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of Australasia represents breeders of true to type Irish style soft coated wheaten terriers throughout Australia and New Zealand. All breeders identified on the site commit to furthering the breed through the sensible use of healthy dogs to promote and further the breed for the generations to come.

The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of Australasia was the precursor to the "Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Breed Club of NSW Incorporated", the only affiliated specialist breed club for Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers in Australia.

Australia has had a rocky time with wheaten health over the past 25 or so years with health issues surfacing in some quarters as a result of poor breeding choices by some breeders. This site represents those responsible breeders have moved to those Irish lines which have a documented history of clear health.
